I just wanted to thank Westcoaster for their recent update! I noticed they took pictures of the elevations I mentioned several weeks ago! There are more elevations back behind mystery lodge and bigfoot rapids as well, but it might be hard to spot them because of Haunt construction. You guys took great pictures and did a fascinating report! You even took a shot of the Kingdom of the Dinosaurs, which will be the new launch station for the new coaster in 2012!
My reliable sources tell me that they are seriously planning to take out Sky Cabin, because it is broken and too old to replace. I guess they want to move on to "bigger things." I got memories with the parachutes, and going up in the sky cabin to see the park from above when I was young. Well, I guess that is what Supreme Scream is for now days.
I am so excited for this new coaster! It is going to be massive, crazy fast, and travel all over Knott's Berry Farm.

I actually just got confirmation of what will be coming soon. It will be a film showing different park in other states. It will discuss how some of these parks had to wait 10 years for a second hand Vekoma Boomerang. At the end, Kinzel will discuss the importance of being thankful for what you've got.

Well... you're right about the locations of certain things. And I am honestly wondering if the Sky Cabin might have its days numbered. As mentioned in the other thread, the markers aren't elevation markers, rather they GIS markers for surveying the area (all stuff that could be used in planning a new ride, etc).
2012 is an easy target for Knott's... they almost have to do something.
Disney - Carsland at DCA, 2011 will have Star Tours and Mermaid.
USH - Transformers in late 2011/early 2012
SFMM - If it's not cancelled is going to get a sizable ride in 2012
That really leaves Knott's out in the cold and will get absolutely buried if they don't do anything.

So you mean the Superman upgrade is really all that they are doing for the chain's 50th aniversary? And possibly Mr. Six's Dance Coaster? Talk about a B-day present that sucks, IMO
Also if the project for Knott's is for 2012, why are they putting out survey markings 2 years ahead of time? Even a Giga wouldn't take that much time to build.
Also JD can you drop a hint on what this sizeable ride will be for SFMM in 2012?
